Movement & Homegrown @ Hear No Evil w/ Scratch Perverts Saturday 16th May

Saturday 16th May sees possibly one of the biggest nights Barrow will see this year at the Canteen when local heroes the Media Monkeys bring the world renowned Scratch Perverts to the main hall at the Canteen for Hear No Evil.

Not content with a line up that includes a trio of World Champion DJ's and some of Barrow's finest in the main hall, there will also be a second room in operation on the night.

Hosted by Movement and our sparring partners Homegrown the back room will offer a laid back alternative to the hectic goings on in the main hall. Expect some of the finest tracks ever put to vinyl and an intimate and relaxed atmosphere.

Tickets are now on sale priced $10 from the usual outlets, we suggest getting one early to avoid serious disappointment. Doors open from 8pm going on until 3am.

Movement returns to Barrow park bandstand April bank holiday weekend and does it in style with a completely FREE full afternoon of the finest underground music and featuring very special guests ATIC records.

Dragging the year kicking and screaming into the springtime, this will be one of the first events of the year for Movement, with only a smattering of guest DJ appearances so far at the likes of the Signal Film’s FITF 09 after parties and February’s Homegrown night to keep the momentum going.

Kicking off the day will be appearances from Peter Kay and Rufus Ruffcut before making way for Movement residents Ad Bickerdike, Ste Kendall and Kid Cagoule.
Dropping the finest in funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, breaks and beats it all kicks off from 12pm until 6pm on Sunday 12th April.

In a return visit from the end of 2008 events at the Nines, ATIC join Movement to round off the day with back to back sets from Aim and Gripper.

Fresh from the back of sell out DJ gigs across the country and basking in the glow of rave album reviews for Gripper’s debut LP ‘A Life of Consummate Ease’ 2009 is set to be a big year for ATIC, with LP’s to follow across the whole roster and many more appearances nationwide to come.
